In the heart of it all, "MTV's Club NYE 2013" rang in 2013 in style with a dance party hosted by "Jersey Shore" stars Snooki and JWoww and Jeff Dye of "Money From Strangers." Performers on deck for the night were Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Rita Ora and Conor Maynard. To kick it all off, Ne-Yo got the NYE spirit in Times Square pumping with "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)" and also taught Snooki some dance moves. Later he Rita Ora brought her swagger as she got the crowd screaming along during "This Is How We Do (Party)." After some dance jams courtesy of the Knocks, "Switched at Birth" starlets Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc showed up in the studio and took photos with fans. Shortly after, Conor Maynard topped off his explosive 2012 with a high-energy performance of his single "Turn Around." He also told Snooki and JWoww that he'd love to perform with them in 2013. To cap things off, Ke$ha took over with her song "C'mon." She chose to perform the single after recent headlines of radio stations taking her latest single, "Die Young," off the air following Sandy Hook elementary school shootings. MTV News caught up with Snooki, JWoww and Jeff backstage before the show, and they spoke about their high-profile gig. "I think it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to host such a huge event. MTV, Times Square, it doesn't get any better than that," Jenni said. When asked if he has any New Year's resolutions, Jeff Dye said, "I'd like to find more change on the ground." And without hesitation, Snooki revealed, "I want to get ripped. Shredded wheat. I've been seeing a trainer since October, so hopefully that pays off soon." Kim Kardashian Plays Sexy Matchmaker In Trailer For Tyler Perry's 'Temptation'

'This has been an incredible experience for me,' Kim says of shooting film, which also stars Vanessa Williams and Brandy.

Kim Kardashian in the "Temptation" trailer
Photo: Lionsgate Reality star and Yeezy's main muse Kim Kardashian is ready for her close-up. The "Keeping Up" star has just released the trailer for the latest Tyler Perry flick, "Temptation." "I'm so excited to reveal the trailer for the new Tyler Perry movie I am in called 'Temptation,' " she wrote on her blog. "This has been an incredible experience for me and I'm so excited for the movie to come out on March 29, 2013." Kardashian fans will want to keep their eyes peeled on the first half of the trailer, which is Kim-heavy. Her voice-over opens the teaser. "We have a billion dollars walking in and out of these offices looking for love," Kardashian, who plays a "Millionaire Matchmaker" type in the flick, says. While the film looks like it's going to have its darker moments, Kim's sassy barbs keep the vibe light. "Friday Night Lights" actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell is told right off the bat by Kim's character that she has to sex up her attire if she thinks she's going to help pair up singles. Kim is already sexy enough in her body-hugging bandage dress. Perhaps she styled herself for the part? As it turns out, when Jurnee's nice girl Judith isn't pondering Kim's ability to breathe in bodycon dresses, she's unhappily married but doesn't know it yet. That is, until she meets a rich, hot potential client, whom Kim notes is the "largest social-media inventor since Zuckerberg." (That line is particularly great.) Eventually their flirtation turns into a full-blown affair, and that's when the plot thickens, with the help of Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)" playing in the background. The film features Lance Gross and Robbie Jones as the leading men, and Vanessa Williams and Brandy appear as well. Kardashian was first cast in the film last November, and fans quickly wondered whether she could handle playing someone other than herself. Perry defended his decision to cast Kim in the film in a statement on his website. "I believe that my films speak from the inside out, why wouldn't Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about Faith, Forgiveness and the healing power of God? What is wrong with that??" he wrote. In addition to her part in the Perry flick, she will be back on the small screen this January for the latest season of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami." They started filming back in September. In addition to Kim and Kourtney, "X Factor" host Khloe will also be a featured player on the series.

Rihanna Wanted 'Diamonds' Video To Give Fans The 'Right Emotion'

Singer opens up to MTV News about her brand-new clip for the Unapologetic track.

Rihanna in her "Diamonds" music video
Photo: Def Jam Rihanna's video for "Diamonds" is a feast for the eyes. It's full of dreamy, surreal images of the pop star, as she (somewhat mournfully) makes her way through a number of sometimes-unimaginable set-ups. The dreamlike scenes run the gamut of the beautiful and the sad. She's singing in the desert with two wild horses. Later, she's in a post-apocalyptic world while people around her go up in flames. She rolls up cigarettes made of diamonds and other stuff (recalling the track's album art). She goes swimming. She cries. She even clutches the tattooed arm of her lover. If fans are confused by what's happening in the video, that's just fine. According to the singer, the Anthony Mandler-directed clip is running more on emotion, than any tangible storyline. "With every song it's a different story, so the visuals are very specific to that story and that world. With 'Diamonds,' it was just a series of vignettes that we put together to help get the emotion across throughout the song 'cause the song changes and it builds, and there's no real way that you could do that," she explained. "You just want people to feel that and I wanted little cutaways of interactions that would give you the right emotion." Mandler and Rihanna are no strangers to creating memorable videos. While "Diamonds" is their latest baby, they have also collaborated on videos for "Hate That I Love You," "Disturbia," "Russian Roulette" "Only Girl (In the World)" and "Man Down," among others. "Diamonds" is not only visually setting the tone for her November 19 album release, Unapologetic, but also giving fans an idea of what they may hear on it. "It was the right powerful record," she said. "It was hopeful. It was also different from what people are used to hearing from me. It was a song that meant something, and that's the whole theme throughout the album." While she flies solo on this track, she has nabbed collaborations with a myriad of folks including Future, Mikky Ekko, Eminem, David Guetta and even her former (and reportedly current) flame Chris Brown on a song called, "Nobodies Business."
