This an absolutely phenomenal app. I have an Eris and have been running 2.1 for several months so I’m quite used to the expose-like sense that HTC uses. Sense is one of the main reasons I got the Eris in the first place and I absolutely love it. This app caused me to drop sense as my default after about a minute of using it. The transitions are flawless. The style is very nice. The interface is pleasing in general and most importantly of all, it legitimately made my
owsing experience a more enjoyable one. I’ve tested out panda home, home ++, helix launcher, and others and this is the first home replacement that convinced me to leave Sense. Heck, this is the first home replacement that didn’t get uninstalled within 5 minutes. Now that I’ve given the accolades this application deserves, I just want to suggest a couple things that I hope I might see i future versions. The customizability of the dock is one feature that would be nice for sure but as someone above me pointed out, HTC wdigets are not accessible with this. Besides Sense UI, HTC offers another unique benefit in some of their widgets which are quite useful but sadly inaccessible with Launcher Pro as well as others. Access to these widgets would be a huge bonus. All in all this is a tremendous application in both functionality and aesthetic appeal, especially considering how new it is and I thank you for writing it.
Hi Jeremy, Well, I just got done helping my son finish his high school senior portfolio, that’s due Monday…today! That is another story. What can I do to wind down. Hum. go on the internet and check Jeremy’s websites. Yes, it was my first thought. Amazing to see that you have put up Sea World pixs. I was just there on Sat. the 19th with my mom. Fortunately, we live in San Diego. She’s in Coronado and I just across the water in Point Loma. I can hear the sea lions and seals bark at night when I walk my dog and see and hear the fireworks, too. If I had known you were headed here, I may have been able to get you free or half off passes, because my son works at Sea World. It’s a shame I missed you. I love going to see the “Pets Rule” show, sea lions, and Shamu. We have year-round passes and live so close that I’m able to spend a short time there and RELAX. Did you see the baby horse? My parents were able to take us to Sea World on a regular basis when I was a child. How lucky was I? Your children are lucky to have you as a father AND to take them to ‘neato’ places.
Great post! I think a lot of creative people have a lot of fear around the well running dry. I think a key for me has been realizing that everything’s an experiment and therefore taking the pressure off any one creative work needing to be transcendent. This way too, when you’re having a down day, you just keep going ahead and let yourself create crappy work that day. Inevitably, if you keep engaging with creating, you will get somewhere interesting and start feeling inspired again. I also agree with some of the other commenters who suggest taking a
eak. When I’ve gotten into a particularly un-creative mood, I just give myself a
eak and go do something else – something fun that gets my mind into a new space. I also love your idea about paying attention to what you’re doing when you feel really creative so you can duplicate it. What a great idea!
